The Erdõskerti Kennel was founded in the early 90's with  the breed Berner Sennenhund. After a few years we bought our first Golden Retriever.
At that time this breed was not so well known in Hungary as it is nowadays.

We read much good things about it: about its love for children, intelligence, reliability. That's why we chose it for our two children as "family member".

We had the chance - over the years - to get to know the admirable character, love for people, endless patience of the "Goldens".

Its smart appereance, excellent hunting - ability and universality made us not only to keep them as our hobby but also to breed them.

We have achieved lots of good results at the shows, more and more Erdõskerti dogs can be seen among the winners. We have many Champions, InterChampions, a 3xClub Winner, truffle-seeking and therapy-dogs, Working Test Winner, a lot of with working exams and who are taken regularly for hunting. Our breed has been awarded the title "Masterbreed".

The first golden retriver in Hungary that helps the life of a little girl by foreshowing any attack comes from our kennel. The birth of such a talented puppy is the the most important moral success in our 15-year-old breeding work as its help is essential and unreplaceable for its young owner and her family.

We have had many people -from many different countries of the world- interested in our dogs. Several kennels have based their breeding work on Erdõskerti dogs not only in Hungary but also abroad.
In the meantime we learnt what a Golden as hunting dog should know. We think that that features and abilities must be kept by all means. Unlike many Hungarian breeders we would like to take both these criterias into consideration. Our aim is to breed Goldens that are excellent both at exterior and working. It is very important for us to breed only with healthy dogs: all our dogs are DP-free.

During the last years we regularly worked with our dogs at huntings, then we both have become hunters and working-judges.

Besides we undertake preparing Retrievers for shows, their grooming and training as well.

In the training-camps organised by us we would like to give our experiences to those interested and to the hunting-dog owners, helping by this, so that the golden retriever should remain not only an excellent family member but also a hunting dog.
